Fall Olive Green Birmingham, AL Wedding – Epic Overlook, Avondale Park, Redeemer Church, Iron City // Mariel + Banks Nash

Meet Mariel + Banks Nash. This couple is near and dear to me, my husband was even a groomsman in this wedding! These two have been high school sweethearts and endured long-distance and lots of highs and lows. I have so much admiration and respect for each of them. Banks is a videographer and traveled with me last March to Africa to work together on humanitarian media projects. Mariel is a fellow redhead and is genuine and kind as it gets.

The couple chose to get married at their home church, Redeemer. The vibrant reception took place at Iron City. And they chose the wedding aesthetic to be simple, classy, olive greens, and really played up the autumn feel. The bridal party got ready at the brides family home, which has a stunning overlook of Birmingham and the rolling hills. IT WAS BREATHTAKING.

One of my favorite moments of the day was taking the bride and groom to Avondale Park for a few golden hour portraits because I scouted out the willow trees and they are very symbolic to the groom and his family. When the mother saw these photos by the tree, she teared up. Worth it.

It was such a special day to play a part of… I am forever on your team, Mr. and Mrs. Nash!
