Sometimes the best getaways aren’t the ones with big plans and grand adventures, but the refueling and inspiration coming from the surprising and simple moments. It’s grace and it’s rest. Three girls, one flat tire, lots of snacks, and no set agenda. We laid down our doing and problem solving and came tethered and on empty- we thrived with space and no expectations. We needed this to heal, because the world around us was screaming to preform and to perfect, but we silenced the noise with real community, truth, playful music, basking in sunshine, and the freedom to explore. And this was where I experienced the core of faith- knowing there’s nothing I offer or can self-impose, I’m just accepted as is. Messy yet healing. And this girls weekend Florida road trip was exactly what I needed last month. Thanks for loving me well, Amy + Morgan.
A rainy afternoon was spent wandering around the quaint highway 30A. And that’s when we discovered the beauty of Alys Beach, nestled on Florida’s Panhandle gulf coast. Elegant courtyard homes and variety of architectural elements was making all my design dreams come true! (White everyyyyything. I couldn’t get enough.) New places ignites my creative soul, I crave the artistic freedom. I’m just thankful these two friends put up with me pulling out the cameras and playing around the little picturesque town. I hope these pictures allow others to daydream, and encourage a simple road trip. Rest. Create. Have faith. Repeat.
