This wedding was so special to me– my dearest childhood friend Kendal Herring was the stunning bride. Growing up our families were neighbors, we carpooled to elementary school, danced ballet in the Nutcracker, and then in adulthood we both found a passion for cultures and the nations. The Herrings are like a second family to me, and it was so surreal to have a front row seat into Kendal + Daniel’s wedding day.
Kendal spent the first half of the day getting ready in her childhood home in Nashville, TN. We took her bridal portraits in her backyard where she spent many years playing in the woods, shooting basketball, riding bikes, and sledding down the hill. The ceremony was at her home church of Woodmont Baptist Church where she grew up. Then the reception was at Richland Country Club, which connected to our neighborhood and she grew up going to the pool and on the swim team. Each part of their wedding day was intentionally chosen, centered on family, and very much interconnected to her everyday life. Even her wedding dress was her grandmothers and mother’s dress, just slightly redone!
Kendal and Daniel are genuine, simple, friendly, caring, and humble. What an honor to capture their marriage. Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Peterman!!
