Meet Sarah + Matt, two of the most creative, caring, intellectual, purpose-driven people I’ve ever met. And they are the coolest clients/friends because they flew me out to Portland, Oregon to capture their relationship in an unforgettable way. I’ve decided destination engagement sessions are THE BEST. None of us had ever been to Portland before, so together we fell completely in love with its eccentric people and diverse terrain.
My goal was to document them in their element: exploring, hiking, chasing waterfalls, road tripping to the coast, running, coffee-ing, laughing, taking pictures, and simply being in awe of creation. Sarah, Matt, + I woke up early on a Saturday to tour as much of Oregon as we could, which included some intentional sight-seeing with some spontaneous adventuring. Over the course of a day we visited the Vista house on Crown Point, Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls, Bridal Veil Falls State Park, Cannon Beach, and Laurelhurst Park. We ran on lots of wanderlust adrenaline and Portland brewed coffee:) Also, shooting both digital and film photography in a completely new climate/weather was a much welcomed challenge for me.
I adore the way this couple sees the world differently with their artist eyes and genuine love of life. Together, they are a wild force for the kingdom. I can’t wait to capture their Dallas, Texas wedding in January! Congrats, Sarah + Matt!
